Liver Abnormalities

Liver abnormalities can often be picked up on a routine blood test done by your GP. A liver function test has many parts to it and the diagnosis may depend on the type of abnormality shown on the blood test.

An ultrasound scan of the liver is usually helpful. A further blood test may help to explain the cause. A liver biopsy can sometimes be necessary.
